Christmas Traditions
Every family has their own holiday traditions. It's an important part of the holidays. Here are some of my family's traditions.
Tradition
#1: As a child, my mother
always had us gather up our stockings and open them first. We all gathered
together on her bed to open them before we went downstairs to open the rest of
our gifts.

Tradition #2: A tradition that has
carried over to my husband's family it to open one gift on Christmas Eve just
before we go to bed. It is usually a small gift from someone outside
the
family.
Tradition #3: One of the most important traditions in my husband's family is the first ornament placed on the tree. We have a small nativity ornament that is the first placed on the tree, and nothing hangs higher on the tree except the angel or star on top.
Tradition #4: Of course, we also spend
lots of time with family. Christmas Eve is
usually full of baking and
games. Christmas afternoon and evening is also a time for family to be
together. Aunts, uncles, and cousins all get together at someone's home
for food and family.
There are many different family and cultural traditions. Here are a few sites where more holiday traditions can be found.
